We are pleased to announce that our attorney, Hunter Rawls, has been appointed to The Florida Bar Sixth Circuit Grievance Committee “D.” Starting in 2024, he will serve his community through this appointment for a three-year term. We are proud that Mr. Rawls will carry our values of justice and professionalism to The Florida Bar Sixth Circuit Grievance Committee.
The Florida Bar’s Grievance Committees serve the community through the review of complaints of misconduct. They are the important step between a complaint being filed and being presented to the Supreme Court. This fundamental aspect of the justice system works similarly to the way a grand jury functions. The Grievance Committee reviews the evidence to decide if there is probable cause that rules were violated. Mr. Rawls will take part in this essential service to investigate complaints and uphold professional conduct throughout the courts of Florida.
As a sixth-generation Floridian, Mr. Rawls has been a part of the Gulf Coast his whole life. He began his studies at the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He then went on to study law at Stetson University College of Law, Florida’s oldest law school. He began his career in civil litigation before moving on to pursue his dream of working in estate planning. He currently works as an indispensable part of the Wills, Trusts, and Estates division of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A.
Mr. Rawls is a dedicated family man and a passionate member of his community. He has long worked to give back through volunteering his time, whether as a supporter of his alma mater or by preparing wills and legal directives for low-income elderly residents. He has long been an active member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. It comes as no surprise that he is being welcomed as a valuable member of The Florida Bar Sixth Circuit Grievance Committee.
At Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, Mr. Rawls is dedicated to offering high-quality legal representation to all his clients. While his main area of focus is helping clients with estate planning, he also handles cases related to trusts, probate, and real estate disputes. Whether creating legal documents or advocating for clients in a legal conflict, his extensive experience in litigation gives him valuable insights. Mr. Rawls understands that every client has unique needs and goals, and he works hard to create a personalized plan that perfectly aligns with each client’s objectives. If you’d like to work with Mr. Rawls or any other member of our team, please reach out to us for a free consultation to review your case.
