It is with great pleasure to announce that D. Ranger Jackson has been elected President of the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL).
Ranger is a highly skilled and accomplished criminal defense attorney. He is a member of the Florida, California, and Colorado Bar Associations. His successful career has earned him the respect of his peers and the qualifications to be elected to this position.
Born in Atlanta, Ranger’s journey began by graduating magna cum laude in 2010 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Shorter University of Rome, GA., and from there, attending Stetson University College of Law graduating in 2013 with his Juris Doctor. After law school, he worked for several years as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County. As a prosecutor, he tried to verdict more than 40 cases. Ranger was promoted to head of the Electronic Investigations Unit specializing in prosecuting crime using digital evidence from GPS and cellular location information.
After leaving the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the community of Marin County California. He then came to work for Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid.
Ranger has worked with state and federal agencies, along with FaceBook and Google, to solve crimes. Ranger’s dedication and cyber security expertise earned him certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
In addition to his busy schedule, Ranger still finds time to serve the community by providing pro bono legal services for disaster and humanitarian relief to the residents of California and Florida as a volunteer for the American Bar Association.
